Estimator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating underground utility projects, including water mains, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and related site infrastructure. This role is critical to our success and offers an opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for underground utility projects.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Analyze labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during the bidding process.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and vendors.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
- Assist with project handoff and startup after contract award.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of estimating experience in underground utilities, site development, or heavy civil construction.
- Strong understanding of water, sewer, storm drainage, and utility installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software. InEight Estimate preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
