On behalf of the CPS, we are looking for a Cyber Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a contract until March 2029. This role is predominantly remote working with occasional travel to the London office as required.
Role Purpose
We're looking for an experienced Cyber Delivery Manager to support a major Cyber Security Transformation Programme within the Crown Prosecution Service.
The Cyber Delivery Manager will lead the delivery of key workstreams within the CPS Cyber Security Programme, driving complex cyber security and technology initiatives from discovery through to implementation and BAU transition. Working closely with the Cyber Programme Manager , cyber SMEs, technical teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, you'll remove delivery blockers, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure successful delivery of cyber capabilities across the organisation. You'll act as the bridge between technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex cyber and delivery challenges into clear business outcomes while maintaining strong governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Programme Context
The CPS Cyber Security Programme is a major multi-year transformation running through to March 2029. The programme is focused on strengthening cyber governance, risk and assurance, vulnerability management , incident response, resilience, supplier assurance and workforce capability, while ensuring business-as-usual cyber operations remain protected.
The Cyber Delivery Manager will lead delivery across the full lifecycle, from discovery and prioritisation through to implementation, live service transition and continuous improvement. The role will use delivery performance, risk and operational needs to drive priorities, inform decision making and ensure successful programme outcomes. Using evidence-led delivery and programme insights, the postholder will help shape priorities and provide recommendations on whether activities should continue, change direction or stop.
SC Clearance is required for this role. Candidates must hold active SC Clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo clearance checks. Please note that a start date cannot be confirmed until clearance has been obtained.
As a Cyber Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Lead delivery of cyber security projects and workstreams.
- Manage plans, RAID logs, risks, dependencies and governance reporting.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Support procurement, mobilisation and implementation of cyber solutions.
- Drive operational readiness and transition into BAU .
- Remove blockers, manage delivery challenges and maintain programme momentum.
- Act as the bridge between technical cyber teams and business stakeholders.
- Use delivery insights, lessons learned and continuous improvement practices to drive successful programme outcomes.
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering cyber security projects, programmes or transformations within large organisations.
- Strong Delivery Management experience within complex technology or cyber programmes.
- Proven track record in delivery planning, RAID management , dependency tracking, governance and reporting.
- Proven experience providing matrix leadership to multidisciplinary teams, setting priorities, coordinating activity and holding contributors accountable for agreed commitments.
- Ability to balance project delivery with operational resilience and service continuity.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and dependencies simultaneously.
Desirable:
- Experience in cyber security capabilities such as vulnerability management , DLP, cloud security or supplier assurance.
- Public sector experience.
- AgilePM, PRINCE2, Scrum, APM PMQ, ITIL or cyber security certifications.
