## Project Overview:

The Field Subcontracts Manager position will be located at one of our LNG project sites in the US Gulf Coast (Texas or Louisiana). These projects typically involve the construction of a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility consisting of gas pre-treatment unit, condensate stabilization unit and heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups and associated buildings and utilities, refrigerant storage and marine berths.

## Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a dynamic team tasked with the day to day field management and monitoring of subcontracts for various scopes of work. You will manage  staffing plans and the execution of the contracts section of the Project Execution Plan. You will allocate workload among team members, manage performance, lead enforcement of   contract provisions and provide expert guidance to the team, lead the communication and interface with all other functions at site, lead compliance with IWPP requirements Your oversight will ensure subcontractor performance and activities supports overall project schedule and client deliverables.

## Major Responsibilities:

- Ensure assigned field team's compliance with applicable IWPPs and other contract management process and procedures
- Represents Supply Chain and Subcontracts in multi-disciplines meetings at site
- Coordinates transfer of responsibilities with Home Office Formation team
- Provides day-to-day work assignments depending on complexity and guidance to team in relevant areas such as proper internal and external communication protocols, subcontract interpretation and coordination with Construction, Project Controls Safety, Quality and all other functions.
- Leadership role on the change management process including evaluation of subcontractor initiated change requests, negotiation, documentation, approvals, rejections and claims.
- Reports routine status and escalates potential additional costs/delays as appropriate
- Performs all assigned contract management activities in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Supervise, train, mentor and develop assigned team as applicable

## Education and Experience Requirements:

- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant commercial Construction related experience or 15-17 years of relevant work experience.

## Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Experienced in project planning and operations, including both office and jobsite locations.
- Experienced in the management or supervision of personnel, including defining tasks, making work assignments, and evaluating performance.
- Experience and courses in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling.
- Thorough knowledge of (sub)contract administration, home office and field procedures and documents relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
- Direct experience in the function of managing workload distribution and execution of the work as well as personnel interviews, selection, performance evaluation, career counseling, mentoring, transfers and terminations.
- Expert knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures and work practices.
