Position Summary
The HR Manager, India provides local HR leadership and operational support to Quortex employees within India. Acting as a trusted partner to managers and employees, you will help create a positive employee experience whilst ensuring HR practices remain aligned with both local requirements and Quortex's global people philosophy.
The role combines hands-on HR operations with business partnering responsibilities. Working closely with the local employing organisation and external providers responsible for payroll and benefits administration, the HR Manager will ensure effective delivery of employee lifecycle processes, compliance activities and people initiatives.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to local and global HR projects whilst supporting the continued growth of Quortex's India operations. The role may also include management of a small team of HR administration resources as the organisation grows.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnership
· Partner with managers across India to provide guidance on people matters, organisational needs and employee engagement initiatives.
· Support workforce planning, recruitment, retention and talent development activities.
· Build strong relationships with employees and managers and act as a trusted HR advisor.
Employee Lifecycle Management
· Manage onboarding, employee changes, promotions, transfers, leave administration and offboarding activities
· Prepare and review employment-related documentation, including offer letters, employment contracts, policy communications and employee correspondence.
· Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within Workday and associated systems.
· Coordinate employee documentation and HR compliance requirements.
· Ensure a consistent and positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Payroll, Benefits & Provider Management
· Act as the key HR liaison between Quortex and the local employing organisation.
· Coordinate payroll inputs, employee changes and benefit administration activities.
· Manage relationships with external payroll, insurance and benefits providers.
· Support employees with payroll and benefits enquiries, ensuring timely resolution.
Employee Relations & Policy Management
· Provide practical support and guidance on employee relations matters.
· Insure compliance with applicable Indian labour laws, statutory requirements and company policies, monitoring legislative developments and implementing required changes to local practices.
· Assist managers in addressing attendance, conduct, performance and workplace concerns.
· Develop, maintain and update local HR policies and procedures as required.
· Monitor local employment requirements and support implementation of necessary changes.
Talent, Engagement & Development
· Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities for India-based employees.
· Support annual performance review, compensation and development processes.
· Deliver employee engagement initiatives and support local communications.
Project Work & Operational Excellence
· Participate in local and global HR initiatives, systems projects and process improvements.
· Support the implementation of Quortex and Lumine HR programmes
· Support organisational change initiatives, policy harmonisation projects and business transformation activities impacting India employees.
· Produce accurate HR reports and workforce analytics.
· Provide leadership and guidance to junior HR administration resources where applicable.

· 5-8 years' HR Generalist, HR Partner or HR Manager experience.
· Strong knowledge of Indian employment practices and HR operations.
· Experience partnering with external payroll, benefits or employment providers.
· Experience supporting managers on employee relations and performance matters.
· Experience drafting and implementing local HR policies.
· Experience supervising HR administration support resources would be advantageous.
· Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS platform.
· Experience in a technology or software business is advantageous.
