Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The SCPs (Strategic Channel Partners) are critical to the success of Samsung’s Mobile B2B organization. Samsung plays a consultative role in helping these reseller partners build mobility marketing practices and identify opportunities for co-marketing that drives revenue and brand love for Samsung with channel sellers. The ideal candidate will be numbers-driven and optimize marketing ROI with structured and disciplined KPIs and metrics reporting. This position will be responsible for marketing strategy, planning, development, and implementation of integrated marketing and communication strategies and campaigns to support the SCP Partners across enterprise and SMB and in concert with priorities around key verticals.

This role will also be responsible for promoting and advocating for Samsung’s Ascend Partner Program among SCP resellers. This tiered program is designed for mobile resellers to grow revenue in a predictable, profitable and painless manner.

Job Description

Primary Relationships

- Collaborate with IT Channel Sales, SCP team leaders and Account Managers to ensure Samsung and Partner profitability paired with continuous growth
- Serve as the face of Samsung Marketing with SCP Partner marketing and sales teams and Partner executive leadership
- Coordinate with Samsung Product and Solutions Marketing to plan partner investment and tactical timeline execution
- Align with Samsung Channel Marketing leadership, finance, legal and compliance teams to effectively execute against annual budgets

Role and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the strategy, planning, development, and implementation of integrated marketing and sales enablement campaigns to support the SCP Reseller Partners across enterprise and SMB and in concert with priorities around key verticals.
- Work with Partners to design and develop marketing campaigns that achieve our joint objectives and fit within our resource allocations.
- Develop, write, and coordinate marketing briefs and business cases for internal campaign approvals.
- Project manage delivery of creative assets (visuals, copy, etc.) in compliance with Samsung Brand guidelines and legal approvals.
- Manage and report campaign KPIs, and collect proof-of-performance for campaign payment.
- Manages marketing budgets, forecasts, evaluates, measures and reports on program effectiveness and ROI.
- Optimize marketing ROI with structured and disciplined KPIs and metrics reporting.
- Works directly with Channel Marketing senior leadership and SCP sales executives and their regional teams to drive campaigns and programs for building sales pipeline and closing business in the IT channel.
- Able to work cross-functionally to oversee the timely planning and execution of campaigns and programs.
- Able to work on multiple, simultaneous marketing programs that require both strategic thinking as well as high-speed tactical execution.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills:

- Min Bachelor level degree.
- 6+ years of sales or marketing experience, preferably in a channel, field facing or marketing communications role. Mobile and Channel experience a must, and SMB preferred.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with an ability to develop and deliver campaigns and programs within a very high velocity, shifting environment with associated analytical tools
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities to drive business objectives
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
- Experience developing and managing budgets and reporting on KPIs and ROI metrics.
- Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Approximately 50% travel across the US is required

- Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
- Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
- The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

- The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
- The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
- Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
- Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
- Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
- Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions.  Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
