Job Opportunity

SWTCH is looking for a senior technology leader to lead our Product, Software Engineering and Hardware organizations as we enter our next stage of growth.

Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the executive team, the SVP, Technology will own SWTCH’s technology strategy and execution — connecting our product vision, software platform and hardware ecosystem into a clear and scalable roadmap.

This is a role for a leader who combines strong technical depth with product and commercial thinking and can move comfortably between long-term strategy and hands-on execution.

What You’ll Do

- Lead Product, Software Engineering and Hardware, creating a unified technology organization with clear priorities, ownership and accountability.
- Own SWTCH’s technology and product strategy, translating the company’s growth plans into a clear roadmap across product, software, hardware and infrastructure.
- Shape the product roadmap by balancing customer needs, market opportunities, commercial priorities and longer-term platform investments.
- Drive technical architecture and scalability, ensuring our platform and systems can support a growing customer base, charging network and evolving product ecosystem.
- Raise the bar on reliability, safety, quality and security, embedding strong standards for testing, validation, releases and production performance.
- Ensure seamless integration across hardware, firmware, software and cloud systems, with clear ownership across the full product lifecycle.
- Strengthen engineering and product execution, creating greater predictability, discipline and accountability around priorities, commitments and delivery.
- Build and develop a high-performing technology leadership team, ensuring we have the right structure, capabilities and talent to support our next stage of growth.
- Partner closely with the CEO and executive team on company strategy, technology investments, business priorities and key technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Bring the voice of the customer into technology decisions, partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success and Operations to understand customer needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Create a culture of technical excellence and ownership, where teams move with speed while maintaining a high bar for quality, collaboration and execution.

What We’re Looking For

- 15+ years of technology experience with significant senior leadership experience.
- Experience leading large or complex Engineering and Product organizations.
- Strong technical foundation with the credibility to engage deeply with engineers and architects.
- Experience with hardware-enabled technology, connected devices, IoT or complex distributed systems.
- Proven experience scaling technology organizations and platforms.
- Strong track record in reliability, quality and operational excellence.
- Commercial and customer-oriented approach to product and technology decisions.
- Strong executive communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in EV charging, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications or another hardware/software environment is an asset.
