Family Services Associate

Schedule:   3  Shifts are available:

- Weeknights 5 :00pm -1 :00am

- Weekends starting on
Friday at 5:00pm through Sunday 5:00pm.  Stays at the facility the entire time, sleeping accommodations are provided.

Responsibilities & Duties :

- Responsible for the safety, security and well-being of guest families.

- Registers families and provides house orientation including house rules, policies, services, and a tour.

- Maintains visible presence during shift and e nforces House rules and polices . Ability to clearly relay our daily needs, rules, eligibility requirements and general information about the organization to medical personal and families.

- Accurate documentation of daily waitlists, guest lists , communication logs, referrals, room assignments, check in, answers phone and check out procedures.

- Assures cleanliness of house (all common areas ) .

- Handles emergencies during their shift.

- Assists volunteer coordinator with planned activities, and directing community service volunteers.

- Clean vacated rooms and set up for the next family as well as launder dirty linen.

- Cleaning, restocking supplies, sorting donations, maintaining kitchen, organizing pantries.

- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Must be dependable, trustworthy.

Education level :   High School Diploma and prefer o ne year certificate from college or technical school .

Specific Skills

- Competence in Microsoft Office

- Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.

- Identifies and resolves problems

- Excellent verbal skills

Experience :
At least 2 years of experience in customer facing and/or customer relations role .

Other Requirements:

- Available and willing to travel to various locations and as the business need dictates.

- Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs.

- Pass local, state, and national Criminal Background Check

- Sits at desk 20-30% of the day .  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle,or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.

- Near visual acuity essential for reading. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Hearing and speaking essential for communication.

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Physically able to climb stairs and perform small maintenance tasks as needed.
