The Director of Procurement I leads a team of Category Managers with responsibility for approximately $250M of spend on direct materials to support the needs of all Donaldson production plants in North America. Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, MN office.

The Director of Procurement acts as the primary contact and advocate for the Industrial Solutions business vertical’s needs within AMER Procurement.

Leads team to ensure alignment to the Global Procurement mission:

- Meeting customers’ quality and service requirements.
- Establishing long-term, robust yet agile supply chains.
- Ethical, compliant, and sustainable sourcing.
- Accelerating contributions to gross margin and cash flow.
- Developing a highly competent and motivated team.
- Continuously improving processes to drive efficiency and results.
- Engaging suppliers to bolster our innovation agenda.
- Providing excellent support to internal stakeholders.

Establishes key performance metrics for their team aligned to Global Procurement goals and measures actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Supports the development and execution of Category strategies for each desk within their team.

Participates in the development, documenting, and implementation of standard procedures that support the Donaldson Business Operating System (DBOS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) in support of company adherence to ISO9001, AS9100, and IATF16949 Quality Standards.

Collaborates with the Procurement Supplier Quality team to ensure their supply base meets quality targets around Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) and Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC) and supports the continuous improvement of our supply base through Supplier Development.

Leads Donaldson efforts to meet regulatory requirements and support best practices around Conflict Minerals, in addition to other Procurement-facing regulatory and customer needs as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain or Commercial role.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate and implement a strategic vision.
- Experience working at a global company

- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply management)
- CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management)
- CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)

Annual Salary Range:  $180,080-$225,100.  Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.

This position is  eligible for annual incentive plan  based on performance and company growth.
