Job Title: Assistant Construction Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage the coordination of construction projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company in daily coordination meetings at the site.
- Monitor and track site progress against milestone schedules, identifying roadblocks, and resolving issues promptly.
- Serve as an escalation point for site issues such as manpower, parts availability, and documentation, actively resolving escalated issues.
- Provide timely updates to the Project Manager and other internal stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and other contractors on-site.
- Coordinate the on-site team of Field Service Representatives to ensure all site needs are met.
- Notify the Project Management team about delays, out-of-scope activities, or other opportunities at the site.
- Oversee the application of contract and claim management methods under the supervision of the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to company policies and contractual agreements.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in project management and construction management.
- Strong electrical knowledge and experience.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in scheduling and customer-facing roles.
- Understanding of data center operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service and/or project management.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of UPS, STS, and PDU equipment site commissioning is preferred.
Work Environment
The role is primarily site-based, requiring up to 80% of time spent at construction sites in Austin, TX. The candidate must be local to Austin and available to regularly attend construction sites. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability to various site conditions and adherence to safety guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
