SpaceX has landed the same rocket 36 times. Bracket Bot believes actuated, alive machines can be glorious, affordable, easy to use, and ubiquitous, and we are pulling that future forward.

Our products are a mirror of what we think about the world, on engineering & research, and what we think should be introduced into the world. In history, there are simply products that should exist, and only once created, are obvious in hindsight. Bracket Bot’s mission is to introduce as many of these products into the world as possible. We believe there are hundreds of these in the space of robotics. Across physical robot hardware, software and operating system; the infrastructure and distributed systems they connect to; the AI inference they run, both local and cloud, and so much more.

Our first product, Bracket Bot 1, exemplifies what a small team of highly talented people can do. At Bracket Bot, we genuinely believe 100x engineers exist, and a room full of them can create things that dozens of other companies have failed to do. We’ve brought to market a robot that is 10x lower cost than any other robot in its category, while out performing them on manipulation, autonomous navigation, speech interaction, and developer UX.

About the role

Our robots need to be straightforward to build, test, and improve. Manufacturing engineering connects the design on screen to a reliable robot leaving the bench.

We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to develop assembly processes, fixtures, tests, and production methods for our robots. You’ll work closely with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to make builds more repeatable while improving quality, cost, and assembly time.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll build robots, investigate failures, and use what you learn to improve both the product and the way it is made.

What you’ll do

- Develop and improve robot assembly, inspection, and test processes.
- Design fixtures, jigs, and tools that make builds faster and more consistent.
- Work with engineering on design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Investigate production failures and variation, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Create clear work instructions, build records, and quality checks.
- Help introduce new revisions into production and keep process documentation aligned with the design.
- Work with operations and suppliers to resolve issues that affect build quality or readiness.

What we’re looking for

- Experience building or manufacturing electromechanical hardware.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and comfort working at the bench.
- Understanding of assembly processes, tolerances, fixtures, and quality control.
- Ability to turn failure data and observations into measurable process improvements.
- Clear documentation and collaboration across engineering and operations.

Nice to have

- Robotics or early-stage hardware experience.
- Experience with test automation, production tooling, or new product introduction.
- Experience with machining, additive manufacturing, or supplier process development.
