CH47 & UH60 Aircraft Mechanics & Inspectors - Honduras

CH47 or UH60 Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance tasks, modifications and repairs as directed.   Work involves replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.

Must have a minimum of 3 years’ aviation maintenance experience and 2 years on either a CH47 or UH60 aircraft.

CH47 or UH60 Aircraft Inspector is responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within required specifications and are airworthy before operation.  Inspects repairs and modification of aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.

Must have 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience and 1 year of CH47 or UH60 inspector experience.

Minimum Requirements ALL Positions :

- Valid and up-to-date FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of an FAA A&P license.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.  Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at the work location.
- Possess a valid US Passport.

- Must be willing to live in Honduras and travel throughout S. Central America.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
- Will handle dirty parts and lubricants.
- Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.
- May work in normal office environment, maintenance shop or outside.
- Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.
