Construction Superintendent

Job Description This role oversees medium-sized construction projects across commercial, hospitality, and housing sectors. The Construction Superintendent ensures that projects run safely, efficiently, and in alignment with design specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on medium-sized projects in commercial, hospitality, and housing environments.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, and on-site personnel to ensure work progresses according to schedule and quality requirements.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide clear updates on project status, milestones, and any changes to the scope of work.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, logs, and written communication related to project activities.
- Support the implementation of quality control procedures and verify that completed work meets required standards.
- Promote a safe and organized job site by enforcing safety practices and maintaining a clean work environment.

Essential Skills

- Proven experience in construction management for medium-sized projects.
- Hands-on experience working as a construction superintendent or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and coordination in commercial, hospitality, and housing projects.
- Ability to manage and lead on-site teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Solid written communication skills for preparing reports and documenting project activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities on site.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
