The opportunity

Join QBE's Compliance team and play a key role in managing AUSPAC's regulatory breach reporting obligations. Working across the business, you will assess incidents, determine regulatory impacts and support the timely reporting, remediation and resolution of breaches, helping ensure QBE continues to meet its regulatory commitments and compliance standards

Your new role

As Manager, Regulatory Breach Reporting, you will manage incidents from initial assessment through to investigation, escalation and regulatory reporting. Working closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal and business stakeholders, you’ll provide practical guidance, support sound decision-making and help ensure incidents are documented, assessed, managed and resolved effectively.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the Identification, investigation, escalation, and reporting of incidents and breaches to regulators.

- Lead investigations by working with the business to understand the cause, scope and impact of incidents.

- Prepare and coordinate timely breach notifications and updates for ASIC, APRA and other relevant regulators.

- Partner with senior stakeholders to support decisions relating to reporting, customer remediation and the resolution of compliance issues.

- Maintain accurate records within relevant registers and contribute to high-quality reporting for senior management, the Board and regulatory bodies.

- Support improvements to breach management frameworks, policies, systems and processes, including technology and automation initiatives.

About you

You’re an experienced compliance professional who can confidently assess complex incidents, interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business actions. You’ll bring sound judgement, strong attention to detail and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business while managing competing priorities and regulatory deadlines.

Key requirements:

- Demonstrated experience assessing incidents and managing regulatory breach reporting obligations within financial services.

- Experience within insurance, preferably general insurance, although broader financial services experience will also be considered.

- Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements, including ASIC, APRA, privacy and data protection obligations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex information and reach well-reasoned conclusions.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and contribute to regulatory discussions.

- A relevant qualification in law, commerce, finance, risk management or a related discipline desirable.
