About this role
Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, Data, Digital & AI – Business Controls & Monitoring, Business & Wealth Division
What’s the role?
As a Senior Manager, Data, Digital & AI (DDAI) – Business Controls & Monitoring, you'll play a key role in strengthening the risk and control environment across the Business & Wealth division, helping the business safely deliver digital, data, and AI initiatives while meeting customer, regulatory, and commercial objectives.

You'll partner closely with business leaders, Technology teams, second line risk functions, and Group Audit to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls, and ensure initiatives are delivered within risk appetite.
A key focus of the role is driving the uplift of the control environment through targeted reviews, deep dives, quality assessments, automation opportunities, and governance enhancements. You'll also support the safe and responsible use of data, advise on emerging AI and digital risks, and help build strong risk awareness and ownership across the division.
This is an 18‑month max term opportunity, with Sydney as the preferred location, although Melbourne will also be considered for the right candidate, and operates under a hybrid working model.
