Maintenance Sr Technician

## What You Can Expect

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, constructing, installing, moving, and repairing all production machinery and equipment. This includes specialized equipment, lift trucks, storage racks, conveyors, lighting, plumbing, and all equipment required for factory and office operations.

## How You'll Create Impact

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Repair machines; disconnect, move, and reconnect all machines within the manufacturing environment.
- Recommend least costly methods of machine repair and cost reductions through improved methods and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on miscellaneous machining, manufacturing, and facility equipment as assigned and provide suggestions for improving operation.
- Ensure critical facility and production equipment are operational as needed with short notice.
- Test equipment to check operation. Clear jams and set aside product for inspection and rework.
- Trains production operators as necessary to maintain material flow.
- Serves as technical expert within cell on relevant machinery.
- Notify Facilities Manager of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective actions taken, quality problems, or supplies needed.
- Troubleshoots and repairs machinery problems as authorized.
- Works with shift supervisor to ensure production is supported and maintenance activities are completed in line with production plan.
- Follows good documentation practices to ensure all work is recorded in accordance with our quality system.
- Ensures that post maintenance activities equipment returns to is qualified state with any calibrations or qualification testing completed.

## What Makes You Stand Out

- Good working knowledge and ability to repair hand tools, machine tools, electrical measuring instruments, and CNC machine tools including spindle bearings, ball screws, spindle headstocks, axis feed systems, and hydraulics/pneumatics.
- Ability to suggest least costly repair methods.
- Capable of conveying possible solutions to supervisor and tracking several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to coordinate projects with engineering personnel and contribute analyses and recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Results oriented with the ability to accomplish work in a team environment
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Ability to work unsupervised on assigned tasks
- Ability to work and meet with Controlled Environment Area (CEA) environment requirements and procedures.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, especially in the areas of process improvement, problem solving, and logical thinking
- Highly developed organizational skills – able to handle multiple high priority tasks/projects concurrently.
- Written and verbal English proficiency

## Your Background

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial machine repairs (electrical and mechanical)
- Trade qualification in electrical or mechanical discipline.
