The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Chinese Language-Enabled Technical Intelligence Research Analyst with a strong background in open-source research to emerging technology threats analysis

You will provide cultural/ linguistic expertise to project and program leadership .

Responsibilities:

• Producing accurate translations of Chinese language academic and technical materials, including academic journals, patents, and government contracts, and other documents related to emerging destructive technologies
• Scanning, sorting, and categorizing foreign-language media
• Transcribing Chinese language audio and video files
• Recreating native language schematics, graphics, and diagrams
• Verifying the accuracy of existing translated materials
• Conducting open-source academic and technical research on foreign academic and scientific institutions, factories, knowledge centers, and other relevant entities within the INDOPACOM AOR
• Examining, extracting, and validating information contained in existing databases
• Collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to curate new multilingual databases
• Collaborating with cross-agency partners to define, examine, and assess emerging technical threats

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI
• Near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with a minimum DLPT score of 3/3 or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience translating Chinese language technical documents
• Minimum 5 years of professional or academic experience researching in native language
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining focus on research objectives defined by the client.
• Native-level English speaker or ability to pass advanced English test (reading, writing, speaking)
• Thorough understanding of the intelligence production lifecycle
• Familiar with ICD 203 and ICD 206
• Minimum OS3001, OS302, OBC, or an equivalent government OSINT certification

Desired:

• Previous experience as a 35F, 35M or 35P (or sister service equivalent)
• Previous experience producing non-I2 intelligence reports (OSIRs, Technology Intelligence assessments, IRRs, or similar products)
• Professional experience using Managed Attribution tools such as SILO, Ntrepid, DarkPursuit, Shadow Dragon, Babel Street, OSINT Combine, etc.
• Experience utilizing generative AI tools including Gemini, Chat GPT, Copilot, etc.
• Familiarity with technology readiness levels (TRLs), manufacturing readiness levels (MRLs), research development & acquisition (RDA) pipelines, supply chain operations, and product & technology development lifecycles
• Understanding of Chinese government research grants, academic institutions, patent publications and technology sectors
• Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (specifically Excell, Word, and PPT)
• Familiarization with database creation and management

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
