About this role
The Senior Financial Accountant role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, accruals and analytical processes across the finance function. The position requires strong coordination and ensuring accuracy in financial data, timely reporting and continuous process improvements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Manage & review Patients stipend working & accurate postings in NetSuite. Ensure to settle the respective BS accounts for each.
- Posting of Card Expense transactions (Chase & Amex) including classification and validation in NetSuite.
- Investigator costs tracking and posting in the financial system.
- Review Payroll GL working & postings in NetSuite. Subsequently update Employee Advances schedule.
- Handle IPI bonus accrual reviews and reversals, ensuring alignment with actual payouts.
- Manage Prepayments and capitalization schedules, including updates and tracking.
- Conduct reclassification Vendor entries (e.g., LYFT Prescreen costs, DOTS Bill).
- Perform Vendor-wise expense & accrual reviews, ensuring expenses are neither overstated nor understated.
- Review departmental expense trends & apportionment identifying gaps and ensuring proper allocation.
- Prepare overhead allocation calculations and working files & post allocations via Journal entry into Netsuite.
- Execute Intercompany adjustment schedule and post entries to respective Entity in NetSuite.
- Preparing FS package and validate breakdowns (SS & SGA analysis).
- Formulating TTM (Trailing Twelve Months) and financial performance packs.
Team Management & Collaboration:
- Ensuring data integrity across systems and reports.
- Work closely with finance leadership to support reporting timelines and deliverables.
- Continuously improve processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in reporting and financial management.
Analysis & Review
- Perform detailed Income Statement and Balance Sheet reviews, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Investigate variances and provide explanations for deviations from expected trends.
- Ensure alignment between sub-ledgers, supporting schedules, and financial reports.
Ad-hoc Requirements:
- Assist the leadership team and finance department with occasional financial analysis, reports and data requests.
- Handle urgent financial and unplanned tasks efficiently, providing prompt and accurate responses.
