Purchasing / Sourcing Specialist Contract Dates: October 5th – December 18th Description We are seeking a Purchasing/Sourcing Specialist to support purchasing and procurement operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, identifying competitive suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and supporting the RFP process. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and service.
- Manage and support RFP processes , including evaluating potential suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and expectations.
- Evaluate purchasing needs related to cost, quality, inventory levels, and supply chain operations .
- Identify opportunities to consolidate purchases and leverage bulk purchasing to negotiate cost savings.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Partner with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and sourcing needs.
- Support specialized purchasing categories, including commodities or raw materials, as needed.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, supplier/vendor management, or supply chain operations . Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills will be important for success in this role. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
