Job Description

We are seeking an Electronics Technician to support engineering and laboratory activities involving electronic assemblies, printed circuit boards, diagnostics, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and product validation activities. This role requires a hands-on electronics professional capable of identifying failures, performing component-level troubleshooting, repairing assemblies, documenting findings, and supporting engineering investigations. The position works closely with engineering teams to improve product reliability, support failure investigations, and assist with validation efforts. Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies and electronic circuits.
- Perform component-level diagnostics and fault isolation.
- Conduct electronics testing using standard laboratory equipment.
- Utilize oscilloscopes and multimeters for electrical measurements, signal analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Perform soldering, component replacement, repair, and rework activities.
- Support engineering investigations and failure analysis activities.
- Document troubleshooting findings, repairs, and corrective actions.
- Participate in root cause investigations and problem-solving efforts.
- Assist with product validation, testing, and verification activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and laboratory personnel to resolve technical issues.

Required Qualifications

- Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and electrical systems.
- Experience diagnosing electronic failures at the component level.
- Experience troubleshooting printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Proficiency using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Experience performing soldering, repair, and electronic rework activities.
- Ability to support root cause analysis and troubleshooting investigations.
- Experience utilizing electronic test equipment in laboratory or production environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document findings, repairs, and technical observations accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or related technical discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Engineering laboratory experience.
- Electronics repair experience.
- Failure analysis experience.
- Military electronics experience.
- Experience supporting engineering validation, testing, or product development activities.
- Experience working with circuit boards, electronic controls, power electronics, or industrial electronics systems.

Work Environment

This position operates within an engineering and laboratory environment supporting electronics testing, troubleshooting, repair, and validation activities. The role involves regular interaction with engineers, technicians, quality personnel, and laboratory staff while supporting product reliability, performance investigations, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomfield, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
