We're looking for an experienced CDL Class A Driver based in the Charleston area to join our Transportation team. If you're dependable, safety-focused, and looking for consistent local work that gets you home every day, we'd like to hear from you.
Role Overview
Enjoy consistent local routes, home every night , no-touch freight, and drop-and-hook operations while transporting containers from the Port of Charleston to Maxwood facilities.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Charleston-area CDL driver looking for steady work without long-haul routes or nights away from home.
What You'll Do
- Run local drayage routes from Wando Welch Terminal and other Charleston-area port facilities to Maxwood locations
- Safely operate Class A equipment while following DOT regulations
- Perform drop-and-hook moves with no-touch freight
- Complete vehicle inspections and required logs
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 5+ years of CDL Class A driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Valid TWIC Card
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
- Port and/or drayage experience preferred
- Familiarity with the Port of Charleston and Charleston-area routes is a plus
