About this role
As an IT Business Analyst , you will provide IT related support to the organization and clients. This position will co-manage IT initiatives and tasks related to IT projects and business requests. The position will include such activities as gathering data, building test cases, ad hoc reporting, training, and support to users.

Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements
- Document requirements and workflows
- Collect and analyze data for potential business efficiencies
- Identify specific business opportunities and aid in defining solutions
- Influence stakeholders to support initiatives that will enforce business growth and revenue
- Lead projects and coordinate with other teams to produce better business outcomes
- Test business processes and recommend improvements
- Assist in building custom reports and dashboards; generate ad hoc reports as requested
- Develop training materials and provide training and support to end users
- Maintain databases for integrity and accuracy
- Support current and new initiatives related to IT projects
- Assist in managing technical resources and migration of new solutions
- Coordinate activities between IT and business units
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Business, Communications, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field
- Preferred 2-3 years of relevant experience in data analytics and reporting
- Preferred experience with Power BI and SQL or other reporting systems
- Preferred experience in implementation, training, and documentation
- Possess proficient analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
- Handle a dynamic work environment with competing priorities; ability to see the “big picture” while managing several small projects
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities
- Receptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essential
- Candidate must reside or relocate to Houston, TX
