About this role

Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an organized and analytical individual to fulfill an AP Analytics and Compliance Analyst .

Business Summary

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (APAR) play a critical role in protecting the company’s financial assets, enabling customers and suppliers, and managing financial transactions across a complex global business.

The AP Analytics and Compliance Analyst will work at the intersection of finance, data, technology and risk. This role will use analytics, automation and technical problem-solving to improve APAR processes, strengthen controls, identify risk and help modernize financial operations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding how processes work, challenging how they could work better, and using technology and data to make that happen.

What You’ll Do

Analytics & Data

- Analyze large AP datasets to identify trends, exceptions, risks, root causes and improvement opportunities
- Build queries, analytical models, dashboards and performance metrics to answer business questions and support decisions
- Develop exception-based analytics to detect unusual transactions, control failures, payment behaviors and emerging risks
- Reconcile data across financial systems, investigate discrepancies and improve data quality through validation, monitoring and automated controls
- Support data governance, including data definitions, lineage, ownership and source-of-truth alignment
- Translate findings into clear recommendations and management readouts for operational and senior leadership

Process Improvement & Transformation

- Analyze end-to-end AP processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization and automation
- Use process mapping, process mining and data analysis to uncover bottlenecks, exceptions and non-value-added work
- Lead root-cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions that address underlying issues
- Support projects from problem definition through implementation, including requirements gathering, testing, UAT and post-launch validation
- Build business cases that quantify financial, productivity and control benefits
- Create training materials and support rollout and adoption of new systems and processes

Compliance, Controls & Risk

- Support the design, implementation and monitoring of AP financial controls
- Perform data-driven control testing to identify control gaps, unusual activity and financial risk
- Support SOX compliance, including documentation, testing and remediation
- Analyze payment and transaction data for fraud, duplicate payments and other control concerns
- Support access-control and segregation-of-duties analysis, and help maintain aligned policies and procedures
- Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, IT Security and other stakeholders to resolve control issues

Technology & Payments

- Use Denodo, Spotfire, APIs and related technologies to automate data extraction, transformation, analysis and workflows
- Build and integrate solutions using REST APIs, JSON and other system interfaces
- Partner with IT to design, test and implement integrations and technical solutions
- Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to demonstrate new capabilities
- Identify practical opportunities to apply AI, machine learning and intelligent automation within APAR, with appropriate governance and protection of financial and customer data
- Build expertise in AP, AR and payment flows, and identify ways to improve payment efficiency, security and customer or supplier experience

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means turning data into action and problems into scalable solutions.

The analyst will help APAR identify risks earlier, automate manual processes, strengthen controls, improve data quality and provide better insight into financial operations. They will be expected not only to identify what is happening, but to determine why it is happening and help build the solution.

Over time, this role will develop broad expertise across APAR operations, financial controls, payments, analytics and technology and become a key technical resource supporting the continued transformation of the organization.
