Maintenance Technical Leader - Ingot

The Maintenance Technical Leader is accountable for results within the Ingot Department in Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, Asset Management, People Development, Contracting Out, Cost Control and Quality using ABS (Arconic Business System) tools such as TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management, 5S, etc.

The Maintenance Technical Leader will engage the resources at their disposal to meet the focused department objectives set by the Manufacturing Managers in support of the business objectives. These objectives will be achieved without sacrificing a spirit of cooperation with other areas, so as to not detrimentally impact the vitality of Davenport Works.

The Maintenance Technical Leader will report to the Lead Area Manager - Ingot and provide direct supervision to up to 10 salaried personnel and indirect supervision to 50+ hourly craft employees.

While this is not a shift-based position, the role requires flexibility to respond to operational needs on a 24/7 basis, as necessary, to ensure business continuity and support plant operations.

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of department management experience, including direct supervision of salaried employees and leadership responsibility for hourly skilled craft employees.
- Demonstrated success leading teams to improve key performance indicators (KPIs), achieve performance targets, and drive operational results.
- Previous experience leading a maintenance organization through planned or unplanned maintenance outages.
- Demonstrated success owning the end-to-end process for a large maintenance budget.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully execute critical KPIs within a matrix maintenance and operational organization

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- 6+ years' experience of work-related experience managing maintenance activities or leading planning and implementation of equipment activities
- Knowledge of and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Systems tools in a maintenance environment
- Expert technical knowledge of processes necessary to drive maintenance performance excellence in a manufacturing setting
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a manufacturing and/or union environment
- Ability to support maintenance staff and operations 24/7 or as needed to ensure continued business operational needs are met.
- Expert knowledge of EHS procedures, rules and regulations pertaining to maintenance
