Overnight Security Officer – HOA / Residential
Location: Culver City, CA
Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hr DOE
Shift: Graveyard – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time Available
Weekend Availability: Must be available at least one weekend day
Position Overview
Treston Security Services is hiring a professional and dependable Overnight Security Officer for an HOA/residential community in Culver City, CA .
This position is ideal for someone who understands that residential security requires a balance of security awareness and excellent customer service . Officers will interact regularly with residents, guests, vendors, and property personnel while helping maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
Previous HOA or residential security experience is preferred; however, candidates with a strong customer service background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the property
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas
- Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and property surroundings
- Assist with access control and visitor procedures
- Interact professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and property personnel
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and property issues
- Respond appropriately to resident concerns and security-related incidents
- Utilize professional communication and de-escalation techniques
- Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
- Follow property post orders and Treston Security Services policies and procedures
- Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining appropriate security standards
Required Qualifications
- Active California Guard Card – REQUIRED
- Physical California Guard Card must be in your possession
- Valid Driver’s License – REQUIRED
- Powers to Arrest training/certificate required
- Appropriate Use of Force training/certificate required
- Must be available to work 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
- Must be available at least one weekend day
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain alert and professional throughout a graveyard shift
- Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods as required
Preferred Experience
- HOA or residential community security
- Apartment, condominium, or residential property security
- Access control or front desk security
- Customer service, hospitality, concierge, or other resident-facing experience
- Professional incident and daily activity report writing
