About the Role
One of the most rewarding ways to launch your career with KARL STORZ is by joining our Onsite Endoscopic Specialist (OES) - Biomedical Engineering background preferred. In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you will support advanced medical devices and surgical equipment directly within a hospital environment. Working closely with Operating Room (OR), Sterile Processing (SPD), and BioMed teams, you will help ensure surgical readiness, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to successful patient outcomes. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge medical technology and serves as an excellent foundation for long-term career growth within KARL STORZ.
Shift: Monday – Friday
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site support to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams to ensure the successful operation of KARL STORZ equipment.
- Prepare, set up, and support video towers, endoscopic systems, and related equipment for surgical procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs or replacements of instruments and equipment.
- Transport, clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments to maintain procedural readiness.
- Manage repair logistics, equipment tracking, and service transactions to minimize downtime.
- Respond to real-time equipment issues in clinical environments to support efficient surgical workflows.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, healthcare, medical device support, or a related clinical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple hospital departments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
Nice to Have
- Associate's degree.
- CRCST certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience supporting surgical equipment, medical devices, or healthcare technology.
