## Job Summary:

The role is split equally, with approximately half of the time spent supporting the Bechtel Equipment Operations (BEO) team and half supporting the Bechtel Business Services (BBS) General Ledger team. The position requires coordination with counterparts in other service locations, project offices, and controller management to support accurate financial reporting and timely issue resolution.

## Major Responsibilities:

The role is structured to support both BBS General Ledger and BEO responsibilities on an approximately equal basis.

BBS General Ledger

- Maintain assigned general ledger accounts through timely reconciliations and analysis.
- Identify and resolve account-related issues to support accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial reporting adjustments for supervisor and Operations Reporting review.
- Support month-end close activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with audit teams to provide information required for internal reviews and local statutory requirements.
- Perform special analyses and assignments to support business and reporting needs.
- Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reviews.
- Support fixed asset activities, including AFE processing, audit requests, asset capitalization reviews, and fixed asset account coding.

Bechtel Equipment Operations

- Review reimbursable costs to identify items eligible for billing.
- Research missing or incomplete billing details to support accurate recovery of costs.
- Coordinate with internal BEO teams to resolve reimbursable cost discrepancies.
- Create new asset records in the Billing System to support billing accuracy and data integrity.

## Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience​ in lieu of a degree.

## Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and applicable accounting methods.
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a professional approach to changing priorities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, resolve issues, manage workload, and respond to correspondence timely.
- Strong organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and quality control in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information entrusted to the position.
- Basic knowledge of document imaging software, procurement systems, financial reporting, and Oracle Financials.
- Basic skills in communication, project financial process controls, Microsoft Office applications, accounts payable, general ledger, and billing.
