Mass Spectrometry Technician

In this hands-on role, you'll operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize analytical systems that support critical scientific studies while working alongside a collaborative team of chemists and study leaders.

What You'll Do

- Operate and maintain LC-MS and HPLC instrumentation
- Troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and instrument set-up
- Support laboratory studies through analytical batch execution
- Train and mentor scientists on instrumentation best practices
- Coordinate instrument scheduling and maximize system utilization
- Collaborate with chemists and study teams to ensure high-quality results

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related science field
- Experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC instrumentation
- Strong laboratory and problem-solving skills
- Interest in analytical instrumentation and mass spectrometry
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment

Preferred

- Experience with LC-MS or mass spectrometry
- Experience supporting multiple instruments within a regulated laboratory environment

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
