Position Summary

Johnson Window Films is seeking a Junior Territory Account Representative to support customers and help grow sales within an assigned geographic territory. This hybrid customer service and sales position is well suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems, and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

The representative will serve as a primary point of contact for customers in their territory, assisting with orders, product questions, availability, and everyday account needs. They will also conduct proactive outreach, follow up on sales opportunities, introduce customers to relevant products and promotions, and help develop accounts with additional growth potential.

The position may occasionally require travel to represent Johnson Window Films at industry trade shows, customer events, and other sales activities. This is an early-career position with an opportunity to develop into a full Territory Sales Representative role as the employee gains product knowledge, sales experience, and account-management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Account Support

- Serve as a primary contact for customers within the assigned territory.

- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, order placement, availability, shipping updates, and general account questions.

- Respond promptly and professionally to customer calls, emails, and other inquiries.

- Work with operations, shipping, accounting, and sales leadership to resolve customer issues.

- Follow up on backorders, delayed shipments, claims, and other open customer needs.

- Develop strong working relationships with customers and become familiar with their businesses and purchasing patterns.

- Maintain accurate customer information, notes, and follow-up activities in the company’s CRM and order systems.

Territory Sales Development

- Conduct regular outbound calls and emails to existing, inactive, and prospective customers within the territory.

- Identify opportunities to increase sales through additional product lines, new product introductions, promotions, and account reactivation.

- Follow up on leads, samples, quotes, and previous customer inquiries.

- Help customers understand the differences between Johnson Window Films products and recommend appropriate solutions.

- Support new customers through account setup, initial product selection, and their orders.

- Monitor territory sales performance and work with sales leadership to prioritize accounts with the greatest growth potential.

- Participate in territory planning, promotional campaigns, and other sales initiatives.

- Coordinate with senior sales representatives or management on larger opportunities and accounts requiring additional support.

Trade Shows and Industry Events

- Occasionally travel to participate in industry trade shows, distributor events, customer events, and other sales activities.

- Help with event preparation, including customer outreach, product samples, promotional materials, and booth organization.

- Represent Johnson Window Films professionally and communicate product information to dealers, distributors, and prospective customers.

- Collect and document sales leads generated at events and complete timely follow-up after each show.

- Assist with booth setup and breakdown when required.

- Some trade shows may require overnight travel or work outside normal business hours, including occasional weekends.

Performance Expectations

Success in this position will be measured through a combination of:

- Quality and responsiveness of customer service.

- Consistency of outbound customer contact and follow-up.

- Growth of existing accounts within the assigned territory.

- Reactivation of inactive customers.

- Development of new accounts and sales opportunities.

- Accuracy of order, account, and CRM information.

- Customer retention and overall account satisfaction.

- Effective trade-show participation and lead follow-up.

- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Qualifications

- One or more years of experience in customer service, inside sales, account support, or a related role is preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Comfortable making outbound calls and developing customer relationships.

- Organized and able to manage multiple customer requests, follow-ups, and priorities.

- A service-oriented approach combined with an interest in sales and business development.

- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and order-entry systems.

- Ability to learn technical product information and explain it clearly to customers.

- Dependable, professional, and willing to take ownership of customer needs.

- Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight and weekend travel when required.

- Experience in the window film, automotive aftermarket, building products, or distribution industries is helpful but not required.
