Demand Planner, S&OP

Tesla is looking for a Demand Planner to support the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process. This role will design the long-term global production plan in coordination with partner teams and support wide-ranging strategic decisions. Ideal candidates have experience in strategy and optimization, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and a passion for quantitative optimization problems. The role is open to either our Fremont, CA Factory or our Austin, TX Factory.

Maintain and present a multi-year production plan that optimizes deliveries, profit, and sustainable growth  Gather feedback and ensure alignment to the production plan from finance, supply chain, production, logistics, sales, new product development, and the executive team  Optimize global vehicle distribution based on sales forecasts, pricing, and market share data   Collect and maintain inputs on key constraints and bottlenecks that might affect the plan   Coordinate decision-making and consider trade-offs with partner teams   Drive continuous improvement and automation in forecasting and planning processes

Degree in Economics, Engineering, Business/Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience 3+ years related experience in a consulting, finance, planning, analytics, or operations role Mastery of Microsoft Excel, SQL skills preferred, exposure to Python or other programming experience a plus  Ability to work cross-functionally and build organic support for key initiatives  Excellent judgment and ability to proactively anticipate complex chain-reaction impacts of plans  Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work  Embrace of change and rapid pace of work

Expected Compensation $80,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
