About this role
At Tesla Canada, we design and build advanced automation systems that power Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are seeking a detailed oriented and organized Purchasing Coordinator to join Manufacture Test Engineering Team in Toronto and play a key role in supporting the engineering team and test lab by running smoothly through timely and cost-effective procurement of parts, tools, and supplies. This role will be closely with engineers, technicians, technical program managers, software engineers, US procurement team, and suppliers for Tesla projects.
Coordinate the RFQ’ and Purchase request via Tesla Jira System to purchasing Electrical and mechanical component to build testers, tools, lab suppliers based on engineering requirement Assist Mechanical and Electrical purchasing teams in sourcing high-quality commercial parts. Working with Vendor onboarding and support Create, process, manage purchase orders, and update status in the ERP system and Build of Materials (BOM) for Test Equipment, builds and engineering projects Follow up with suppliers on order status. Shortages, delays and delivery issues Issue and follow up on Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and organized filing systems Daily packages receive and allocate to the correct project cage/bins in the lab. Update the BOM status after packages received. Weekly or bi-weekly inventory check to backfill lab material storage Create Tesla shipment in Tesla logistic system and work closely with logistic team to arrange shipment for parts or testers to ship to global Tesla location and global supplier location
1-2 Yrs Purchasing, supply chain, or office administration experience Experience with BOM management and part number tracking/ sourcing Post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain management, or related field Strong proficiency with computer applications and ERP systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality results

Expected Compensation
- Associate Buyer - Planner - $48,400 - $72,600/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
