The Role

The role will provide end-to-end technical coverage for SAP platforms, including system administration, installations/upgrades, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, transport/change management, scheduling, cloud infrastructure, and operational automation.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis and a good understanding of modern SAP cloud technologies and enterprise scheduling/change-management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide end-to-end SAP Basis administration and operational support for SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, DB2-based SAP systems, and SAP Cloud environments, ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Perform system monitoring, health checks, performance tuning, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and management of SAP work processes, background jobs, RFCs, user administration, and system parameters.
- Execute SAP installations, upgrades, support packs, kernel upgrades, system refreshes, migrations, copies, and lifecycle management activities across complex SAP landscapes.
- Administer and support SAP HANA databases, including performance monitoring, capacity management, backup and recovery, replication, patching, upgrades, and resolution of database-related issues.
- Provide technical support for SAP workloads hosted on cloud platforms, collaborating with infrastructure, security, networking, and database teams to ensure availability, connectivity, disaster recovery, and successful cloud migration initiatives.
- Manage and support SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including account administration, connectivity, integrations, service monitoring, troubleshooting, and integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA environments.
- Administer SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring, alerting, reporting, lifecycle management, and change management processes, while driving adoption of cloud-based operations capabilities.
- Oversee SAP transport management and enterprise job scheduling using tools such as Rev-Trac, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), V-TOM, and Redwood, ensuring controlled releases, seamless production deployments, and reliable execution of SAP batch jobs and interfaces.

Required skills and experience

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration within large enterprise SAP environments.
- Strong expertise in SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP systems running on DB2.
- Experience in SAP installations, upgrades, patching, kernel upgrades, system copies, migrations, performance tuning, monitoring, and incident management.
- Good understanding of SAP transport management, change control processes, high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Experience supporting SAP workloads on cloud (IaaS/PaaS) platforms, with working knowledge of SAP BTP and cloud connectivity/integration concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP monitoring and alerting tools.
- Experience with SAP change management solutions such as Rev-Trac and enterprise scheduling tools including IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), V-TOM, and Redwood.
