The project:

This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on construction management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and sub-contract packages.

The role:

Mace is seeking an experienced senior construction manager to lead the delivery of a major package of infrastructure, civil, and building works.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a significant construction portfolio, including central utility infrastructure, industrial process facilities, roads, civil works, and associated external works. The role requires a strong site presence, with approximately 70% of time spent overseeing construction activities on site and 30% focused on planning, reporting, stakeholder management and contractor coordination.

This is a remote site-based opportunity operating on rotation with camp accommodation provided.
Working within a PMC environment, the successful candidate will provide visible leadership across contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, quality and commercial objectives.

You’ll be responsible for:

•    Leading the construction delivery of civil, infrastructure, and building works.
•    Managing contractor performance to ensure delivery against approved programme, quality and safety requirements.
•    Driving construction progress across multiple work fronts whilst proactively mitigating delivery risks and constraints.
•    Providing leadership and oversight for utility and infrastructure assets including district cooling facilities, generator farms, water treatment facilities, sewage treatment infrastructure, fire water storage systems, pump stations and associated networks.
•    Managing roads, hardscape, landscape and general civil works packages through all phases of construction.
•    Coordinating interfaces between contractors, consultants, specialist suppliers and client representatives.
•    Reviewing construction methodologies, sequencing plans, temporary works proposals and recovery programmes.
•    Monitoring construction progress, productivity and resource deployment across all package contractors.
•    Chairing site coordination meetings, progress reviews and technical workshops.
•    Ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements and approved construction documentation.
•    Supporting commercial teams with variation reviews, claims assessments and change management processes.
•    Championing a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture across all construction activities.
•    Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
•    Supporting project reporting, governance requirements and senior stakeholder updates.

You’ll need to have:

•    Degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. 
•    Extensive experience delivering major civil, infrastructure and building projects. 
•    Proven track record managing large-scale contractor-delivered construction packages. 
•    Strong experience across infrastructure works including roads, utilities, treatment plants, pump stations, industrial facilities and associated civil infrastructure. 
•    Previous experience working within a PMC, consultancy or client-side environment. 
•    Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, project controls and programme management. 
•    Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills. 
•    Experience managing multidisciplinary contractors within complex construction environments. 
•    Previous Middle East project experience on major programmes, infrastructure developments or giga-projects. 
•    Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
