ROLE SUMMARY

The O365 Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD/Entra ID. This role ensures service availability, security, and compliance, and delivers a seamless collaboration experience for end users, acting as the primary point of contact for Microsoft 365 administration and escalations.

YOUR ROLE SPECIFICATIONS

• Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant end-to-end, including user and license provisioning, de-provisioning, and group management.

• Manage Exchange Online: mailboxes, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, mail flow rules, and connectors.

• Administer SharePoint Online: site collections, hub sites, permissions, and storage quotas.

• Configure and manage Microsoft Teams: policies, channels, meeting/calling settings, and voice integration.

• Manage OneDrive for Business: storage, sharing policies, and retention settings.

• Administer Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID: users, groups, roles, and conditional access policies.

• Configure and enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and modern authentication standards.

• Monitor Microsoft 365 service health, respond to incidents, and coordinate outage communications.

• Manage license assignments and optimize license utilization and cost across the tenant.

• Configure and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention labels/policies, and eDiscovery.

• Implement and manage security controls using Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Purview.

• Manage mobile device and application policies for Microsoft 365 apps via Intune.

• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Exchange Online Management, and Microsoft Graph API.

• Plan and support migrations (mailbox, SharePoint, OneDrive) into and within Microsoft 365.

• Support governance of Power Platform components (Power Automate, Power Apps) where applicable.

• Provide L2 support for Microsoft 365-related incidents and service requests.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce governance and audit requirements.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation and runbooks for Microsoft 365 administration.

• Track the Microsoft 365 roadmap and communicate upcoming changes and their impact to stakeholders.

• Escalate complex issues to Microsoft support or L3 teams when necessary.

QUALIFICATION

1. Educational Qualification: BSc / BE / Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

2. Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified – Administrator Expert (MS-102).

3. Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified – Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred).

4. 3-5 Years of relevant experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.

SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive).

2. Hands-on experience with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID and identity management.

3. Working knowledge of security, compliance, and governance features within Microsoft 365.

4. Experience with PowerShell scripting and the Microsoft Graph API.

5. Familiarity with Intune and mobile device/application management.

6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle escalations efficiently.

7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
