We are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Quality Assurance Manager (TOQA) to join our global Quality, Safety and Security team and play a key role in strengthening quality assurance across MAF’s Technical Operations. This is a unique opportunity to use your aviation and quality experience in a global mission environment, helping ensure that our maintenance and technical operations systems remain robust, effective and continuously improving. Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to commence in February 2027 .

About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Quality, Safety and Security, the TOQA provides quality assurance leadership and support across MAF’s Technical Operations, working closely with the Technical Operations Director and other leaders across Quality, Safety and Security.

You will help maintain and continually develop MAF’s Quality Management System, provide assurance through audits and data analysis, support investigations and corrective actions, and help foster a strong and proactive quality culture across the organisation.

Working across cultures, programmes and regions, you will bring together people, systems and information to identify opportunities for improvement and help MAF learn from experience.

Location: Ideally, we see this role being based within the Asia Pacific region and embedded in one of MAF’s locations of operation. Being close to our aviation operations will provide valuable connection with the teams and programmes the role supports. However, we are open to considering other MAF locations for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

✅Lead and develop quality assurance systems for MAF’s global Technical Operations, including Maintenance and Maintenance Control.

✅Develop and coordinate audit programmes and conduct quality audits across MAF operations.

✅Monitor, analyse and report on quality and safety performance, using data from MAF’s QSMS database to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

✅Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and support investigations into quality issues.

✅Provide advice, training and support to Programme Quality Managers and aviation teams.

✅Promote and strengthen a positive quality culture through education, training and effective communication.

✅Develop and maintain MAF’s Quality Manual suite and support the organisation’s standards-making processes.

✅Work collaboratively with the Flight Operations Quality Assurance and Safety Management teams to provide an integrated approach to quality and safety.

✅Produce quality and safety communications, publications, Toolbox Talks and training materials.

✅Support the Technical Operations Director and wider Aviation leadership with quality assurance and audit matters.

✅Deputise for other Quality, Safety and Security leaders as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

About you

You will bring solid aviation experience combined with a strong understanding of quality assurance and safety management. You will be confident working with people at different levels and from different cultural backgrounds, and be able to turn quality requirements and data into practical improvements.

We are looking for someone who has:

- At least five years’ experience in an aviation-related role .

- Formal training or experience in Quality Assurance and Safety Management .

- An understanding of human factors and their application within aviation.

- Strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- The confidence to work independently while also being an effective team player.

- The ability to work effectively across cultures and adapt to changing or challenging environments.

- A proactive approach, with the initiative to identify issues and drive improvement.

Experience working within a MAF programme or another international aviation environment would be highly regarded.
