Advance Planning Specialist - Massillon, OH

We are looking for an Advance Planning Specialist who shares our Core Values of Excellence, Trust, Care and Growth to join our team in Massillon, Ohio. In this role, you will help individuals and families plan ahead by making funeral and cremation arrangements before the time of need, giving them the opportunity to make thoughtful decisions without the pressure of an immediate loss.

This is a sales position offering a base salary, commissions, bonuses and benefits. Successful Advance Planning Specialists are compassionate, confident communicators who are comfortable discussing sensitive topics and building genuine relationships with families and members of the community. You will use company-provided tools and resources to connect with prospective families, follow up on leads and identify opportunities to help more people understand the benefits of planning ahead.

Strong community relationships are an important part of this role. You will have the opportunity to develop connections with local organizations, build referral networks and generate your own leads while representing Newcomer with professionalism and care.

Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma (though an associates degree or higher in a related field is preferred), along with one year of experience in this or a related area. They must be a licensed insurance agent or have the ability to acquire the necessary licenses. Applicants must enjoy working with people and helping them select from a range of services and merchandise. Basic office and computer skills are a must, and organizational skills and attention to detail are vital to ensure that all arrangements are made to each familys satisfaction.
