Are you looking to take the next step in your company secretarial career within a global listed organisation? This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Secretariat team, supporting a complex international business and helping to deliver outstanding governance standards across the Group. Working alongside experienced company secretarial professionals, you will gain exposure to listed company obligations, subsidiary management, shareholder matters and corporate governance activities, while building the skills and experience needed to progress your career.
What will you be doing?
As our Senior Company Secretarial Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the governance framework of the Group. Day to day, you will help ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across a broad portfolio of UK and international entities while supporting the smooth delivery of company secretarial services.
You will contribute to Stock Exchange announcements, market disclosure activities and annual governance processes. You will support preparations for the Annual Report and AGM, manage statutory records, assist with shareholder enquiries and help maintain the entity management system. Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Treasury, Internal Audit, Corporate Communications and external advisers, you will become a trusted source of expertise on governance and compliance matters.
This role provides a unique opportunity to develop towards acting as Secretary to a Committee and to build the experience needed to progress into an Assistant Company Secretary position in the future.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in this role comes from combining strong technical company secretarial knowledge with a collaborative approach and a passion for delivering excellent governance outcomes. You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Key requirements include:
- Qualified or part qualified Company Secretary, or working towards a relevant professional qualification
- Previous company secretarial experience within a UK listed company environment or professional services provider
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, corporate governance and entity management processes
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work across international teams and external advisers
