To support or operate designated machine to meet customer specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

- Must be able to read patterns and blue prints.
- Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, protractors and tape measures.
- Prepares and stages glass for the Special Fabrication process the employee is assigned.
- Knowledge of operating and maintaining machines including daily / weekly TPM's
- Performs duties in a safe manner using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
- Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation.
- Participates in Viracon's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

- Maintains a neat and orderly work area throughout the workday.
- May help other Production areas when necessary.
- Maintains a stock of equipment to perform task
- Maintains an effective working relationship with all department employees
- Performs duties in accordance with business process documentation.
- Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities or controls as required to insure quality of production.
- Reports all machine malfunctions to Supervisor / Lead.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions. (English)
- Mathematical skills as related to measurements.
- Familiar with operating power tools
- Ability to take supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
- Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities.
- Regular full-time attendance.
- Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all polices.
