Job Title: Order Entry Representative Job Description
The Order Entry Representative provides attentive office and customer support to online shoppers before, during, and after their purchase. In this role, you respond to customer questions, resolve issues, process orders, and help ensure a smooth, positive online shopping experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, chat, and other online communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers with product information, order placement, payments, shipping details, returns, and exchanges.
- Track orders and provide accurate updates on shipping status and delivery timelines.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Process refunds, returns, replacements, and other service requests in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and order information in company systems and online order-management tools.
- Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, sales, and other internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure order accuracy.
- Follow established company procedures and standards to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Identify recurring customer issues or trends and communicate them to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Perform data entry and order entry tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Use Microsoft Office and other office tools to support order processing, documentation, and communication.
- Support a new e-commerce project for a large grocery retailer by providing reliable customer and order support.
Essential Skills

- Comfort using computers, email, chat platforms, and online order-management systems.
- Basic knowledge of e-commerce websites and online purchasing processes.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.

- Ability to remain patient, professional, and courteous in difficult or high-pressure situations.
- Effective time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn new software, products, and company procedures quickly.
- Customer service experience, including office, retail, call center, or e-commerce support (1+ year of office or customer support experience).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office tools.
- Strong technical and computer knowledge, including comfort using online chat tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site role based in Lenexa, working in a casual office environment. You will use computers, online chat tools, email, Microsoft Office, and order-management systems as part of your daily responsibilities. The position supports a small but growing company that has recently secured a new e-commerce project with a major grocery retailer, offering a contract-to-hire path and the chance to grow your career. Training and support are provided to help you learn systems, products, and procedures, and you will work closely with leadership and colleagues in a collaborative office setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
