Job Title: Project/Program Manager I Data Management Specialist (Sustainability Reporting) Job Description This role focuses on data management and operations in support of a large-scale sustainability reporting program. You will define and build metrics within internal systems, drive end-to-end data collection campaigns, manage data-related escalations, and work closely with controllership to ensure accuracy, completeness, and auditability of sustainability data. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong database and reporting experience, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent data workstreams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You will collaborate directly with reporting leaders, taking direction effectively while operating with a high degree of independence and ownership. Responsibilities

- Define, build, and maintain metrics within internal systems to support sustainability reporting and enterprise reporting needs.
- Plan and execute end-to-end data collection campaigns, including coordinating timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Manage large, complex datasets, including 2,000+ data points going into any given report, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Partner closely with controllership and related teams to ensure data accuracy, auditability, and compliance with internal controls.
- Monitor data quality, identify gaps, anomalies, and issues in sustainability and ESG-related data, and drive resolution without requiring constant oversight.
- Handle data-related escalations, triage issues, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
- Work directly with reporting leaders, taking direction while independently owning workstreams and driving tasks to completion.
- Develop and refine reporting processes, documentation, and workflows to improve efficiency, data governance, and repeatability.
- Use Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and database tools to analyze, reconcile, and transform data for reporting.
- Leverage enterprise reporting platforms such as Workiva or similar systems to support sustainability reporting and data management activities.
- Communicate data issues, findings, and requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in written and verbal form.
- Manage multiple concurrent data workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting reporting timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sustainability, marketing, and controllership, in a large, global enterprise setting.
- Apply general sustainability reporting frameworks and ESG concepts to data management and reporting processes.
- Use tech-driven productivity and collaboration tools, including Asana or similar platforms, to track tasks, manage projects, and coordinate work.

Essential Skills

- At least 3 years of professional experience in data management, database administration, data analysis, or closely related practices.
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining high data quality standards.
- Experience working with relational databases, data management platforms, or enterprise reporting systems.
- Strong proficiency with Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in database management and handling large datasets, including 2,000+ data points per report.
- Ability to take direction from leadership while independently managing workstreams and driving tasks to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in tech-driven productivity and collaboration software applications and tools, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Interest in and comfort with sustainability reporting, ESG data, or related corporate responsibility topics.
- Bachelors degree in data management, information systems, business, sustainability, or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with Workiva or similar enterprise reporting platforms used for corporate and sustainability reporting.
- Experience with general sustainability reporting frameworks, ESG concepts, or corporate responsibility programs.
- Experience in finance or sustainability, or experience in marketing with a focus on narrative and production of sustainability content, combined with strong data-driven skills.
- Experience in controllership, internal audit, or audit-adjacent data management roles.
- Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality methodologies, or master data management practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a large, global enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with Asana or similar project and task management tools for organizing and tracking work.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of independence, proactively identify data gaps, and drive resolutions.
- Strong interest in technical, data-driven work related to sustainability and ESG reporting.

Work Environment This is a hybrid position with one day per week onsite in either Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA, and the remaining time working remotely. You will work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment that relies heavily on data-driven decision-making and enterprise-level reporting. The role involves frequent use of Excel, relational databases, enterprise reporting platforms such as Workiva or similar tools, and productivity and collaboration applications including Asana or equivalent software. You will collaborate with global teams across finance, sustainability, controllership, and other business functions, contributing to a culture that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in sustainability reporting.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
