At The Williamsport Home , our Personal Care and Independent Living residents enjoy restaurant-style dining in a welcoming community atmosphere. We're seeking a dependable, motivated Cook to prepare high-quality meals while contributing to an exceptional dining experience.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and serve appetizing, nutritious meals according to menus and recipes
- Ensure food is prepared safely and meets quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff to provide excellent service
- Assist with special meals, events, and resident dining preferences when appropriate
What We're Looking For:
- Previous cooking experience in healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or institutional settings preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
- A genuine desire to serve older adults

Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English;
2. Strong interpersonal skills
3. Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant;
4. Must either be Safe Serve Certified or attend Safe Serve training and successfully pass next available scheduled course within first year of employment.
