Job Title: Project Manager Job Description The Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are planned, executed, and closed out on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards. This role leads project coordination across owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal staff, with a strong focus on communication, risk management, and financial performance, particularly on healthcare and municipal projects. Responsibilities
- Manage overall project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, documentation, communication, and project closeout for commercial construction projects.
- Lead regular project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to align goals, review progress, and resolve issues.
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, procurement plans, and critical path activities to keep projects on track.
- Review and manage contracts and subcontracts, including scopes of work, change orders, pay applications, invoices, and project correspondence.
- Track project costs, forecast financial performance, manage change events, and support overall project profitability goals.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents to monitor field progress, quality, safety, inspections, logistics, and timely issue resolution.
- Identify project risks early, resolve conflicts among stakeholders, remove roadblocks, and clearly communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure all work complies with construction drawings, specifications, permits, building codes, safety requirements, and internal company standards.
- Oversee contract administration, cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and project financial reports to guide decision-making.
- Maintain strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills
- 37 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, project sequencing, contract administration, cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and project financial reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Procore construction management software.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for document review and markup.
- Strong leadership skills with a high level of accountability and follow-through.
- Excellent organization and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and solve problems quickly.
- Effective negotiation skills and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing commercial construction projects, including healthcare and municipal work.
- Experience with a general contractor environment, regardless of specific GC experience.
- Solid project management and project coordination capabilities in construction settings.

Work Environment This position is based onsite at project locations in the greater Tampa area. The Project Manager works closely with field and office teams in an active construction environment, regularly coordinating with Superintendents, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. You will use tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office to manage documentation, schedules, and communication. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
