Pay Rate: $25.00 – $35.00 / hour ($52,000 – $72,800/yr commensurate with experience)

Company Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of an AS9100-certified, high-precision electronics manufacturer . Specializing in RF and microwave cable assemblies for aerospace, defense, and telecommunications markets, they are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their quality control team.
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector will ensure all incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished cable assemblies comply with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and strict AS9100 quality standards. This role performs first-article inspections, incoming receiving inspections, and final product approvals using precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection Operations: Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections on wire, cable, connectors, and finished harness assemblies.
First-Article Inspection (FAI): Conduct first-article inspections and verify dimensional and workmanship compliance against engineering schematics, blueprints, and routers.
Precision Measurement: Utilize hand-held precision tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and optical magnification devices.
Non-Conformance & Root Cause: Identify, log, and segregate non-conforming materials. Assist quality leadership with root-cause investigations, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
Documentation & Audits: Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and supplier compliance paperwork. Record inspection results accurately in company ERP/quality logs and support internal/external audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 2–4+ years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment (experience with wire, cable, electronics, or aerospace/defense manufacturing preferred).
Precision Measurement Skills: Hands-on proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical inspection equipment .
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, routers, and work instructions.
Standards & Compliance: Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management systems and calibration tracking.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, inspect small visual defects under magnification, and lift up to 70 lbs when handling material reels.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
