Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule (Every Other Friday Off!)

Position Summary

The Hi-Rel Solder Assembler performs precision hand soldering and mechanical assembly of high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs) and sub-assemblies. This role requires fine-pitch soldering under microscopes in accordance with strict IPC Class 3 standards.

Key Responsibilities

Precision Hand Soldering: Perform surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole hand soldering on complex PCBs and sub-assemblies to IPC Class 3 standards.

Microscope Assembly: Utilize stereo microscopes, magnification equipment, and fine hand tools to place and solder delicate, fine-pitch electronic components.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret assembly documentation, engineering schematics, and detailed work instructions.

Quality & Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection protocols and IPC J-STD-001 / IPC-A-610 quality standards.

Equipment Operation: Operate specialized soldering stations, inspection tools, and re-work equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 2–3+ years of precision hand soldering and PCB assembly experience, preferably in a High-Reliability (Hi-Rel), aerospace, or defense environment.

Certifications / Standards: Proficiency in IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards (Active or prior IPC certifications highly preferred).

Microscope Work: Proven ability to work under magnification with high manual dexterity and strong spatial awareness.

Technical Aptitude: Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.

Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy is a plus (willing to train candidates with strong mechanical dexterity who are eager to expand their skill set).

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $55,000.00 - $65,000.00
