Master Technician Job Description The Master Technician plays a critical role in performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on Mercedes-Benz vehicles while supporting quality investigations and ensuring all work meets strict manufacturer standards and specifications. This position combines expert technical ability with precise documentation and collaboration with engineering and quality teams in a professional service environment. Responsibilities

- Perform advanced diagnostics on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including complex electrical, powertrain, and ADAS systems.
- Carry out high-quality repairs and thorough inspections on Mercedes-Benz vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Support quality investigations by identifying defects, failures, and performance issues across vehicle systems.
- Analyze and interpret technical data to determine root causes of vehicle issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Document all diagnostic steps, repair procedures, and inspection findings in a clear, detailed, and accurate manner.
- Provide comprehensive technical feedback to engineering and quality teams to support continuous product and process improvement.
- Ensure all work consistently meets Mercedes-Benz standards and specifications for safety, performance, and reliability.
- Follow established service procedures, technical bulletins, and best practices to maintain high repair quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area that supports safe and effective vehicle service operations.
- Collaborate with service, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve complex vehicle concerns and improve customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills

- Strong hands-on experience working specifically with Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on modern vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, and ADAS.
- Experience working in a dealership, OEM, or high-level service environment.
- Ability to clearly document technical findings, including diagnostic steps, test results, and repair actions.
- Deep familiarity with Mercedes-Benz standards, specifications, and service procedures.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to handle complex vehicle technologies.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, precise work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience collaborating with engineering and quality teams to support investigations and continuous improvement.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic software outputs.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in high-volume or premium brand service environments.
- Capability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team-based service operation.

This is a Contract position based out of Oceanside, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
