About the Role at Alloy Therapeutics
Alloy’s In Vitro Pharmacology team collaborates with drug discovery partners to conduct in vitro studies on therapeutic candidates across diverse modalities. Our team delivers comprehensive functional screening and characterization of biologics to support discovery and selection of lead candidates. Primary modalities are monoclonal, multispecific, and TCR-mimic antibodies, but also include cell therapies and genetic medicines. As Alloy Tx enters its next phase of growth, we are expanding our capabilities to include mechanistic studies that enhance preclinical development and further advance our translational research efforts.

We are seeking a highly motivated trainee to work closely with the scientific team within In Vitro Pharmacology to support our various research programs. As a Co-op, you will be responsible for running validated assay systems for the testing of therapeutic biologics, including antibodies and cell therapies. You will utilize state-of-the-art high-throughput methods to evaluate the activity of novel biologics on human cells in disease-specific assay systems. You will also provide operational support to the In Vitro Pharmacology team through cell line maintenance, reagent generation and preparation, and inventory management, among other tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day lab and experimental workflows, including cell line inventory maintenance.
- Execute cell-based functional assays using high-throughput approaches in primary cells, immortalized reporter cell lines, and other disease-relevant cellular systems.
- Present experimental data and findings during team meetings.
- Ensure timely and successful execution of project activities according to plan.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records in compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain laboratory organization and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in progress in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related field.
- Hands-on experience working with mammalian cells in a BSL2+ laboratory environment.
- Flow cytometry and fundamental cell and molecular biology techniques are preferred.
- Experience handling human blood, leukopak processing, and PBMC isolations preferred.
- Excellent organization, clear communication and teamwork abilities.
- Thrives working on a team and collaborating with others to achieve project goals.

- Detail oriented, with rigorous scientific thinking and a passion for drug discovery to improve patients’ lives.

Pay Transparency
