Job Title: Inventory Coordinator Job Description
The Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials within a high-volume manufacturing warehouse environment. This position focuses on receiving goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production through on-time delivery of components and kits, and sustaining Kanban and raw material replenishment processes while strictly following established standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound goods on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis and strictly adhere to standard operating procedures for processing incoming materials.
- Ensure accurate and on-time delivery of components and production kits in line with production and transfer order plans and priorities.
- Sustain the supply of Kanban materials to the shop floor to support continuous production operations.
- Manage raw material movements and replenishment to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Follow all SOPs and maintain stock point accuracy across designated inventory locations.
- Participate in a daily cycle counting program to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage and maintain FIFO processes to achieve appropriate stock rotation and minimize obsolescence or spoilage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records so that the ERP system (LN or similar) reflects real-time stock movements.
- Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies identified through cycle counts, system reports, or physical checks.
- Handle and manage high volumes of materials efficiently and safely in a warehouse environment.
- Perform data entry related to inventory transactions, material movements, and production kit deliveries in the ERP system.
- Support inventory control and inventory management activities, including warehouse inventory organization and material handling.
- Coordinate inventory activities in alignment with aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing standards and requirements.
- Manage new shipments, including receiving, verification, documentation, and appropriate storage of materials, including frozen composite materials.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to prioritize material deliveries and resolve inventory-related issues.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in inventory coordination, inventory control, or warehouse inventory management.
- Experience working with inventory in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing environments (preferred but strongly relevant).
- Hands-on experience with cycle counts and daily inventory verification processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of materials in a warehouse or production setting.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and ability to work within any ERP platform for inventory transactions.
- Proficiency in material handling and warehouse inventory processes.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to follow SOPs consistently and maintain high levels of stock point accuracy.
- Comfort working on your feet for extended periods and handling physical materials, including frozen composite materials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as an Inventory Coordinator in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with LN or similar ERP systems for tracking stock movements and inventory transactions.
- Understanding of FIFO inventory practices and Kanban material supply systems.
- Experience with inventory control and inventory management methodologies in a production-focused warehouse.
- Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies using both system data and physical stock checks.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks based on production and transfer order requirements.
- Comfort working in cold storage environments and handling frozen composite materials.
- Ability to adapt to different shift schedules, including weekend, second shift, and alternative hour configurations.
Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse work environment that supports high-volume manufacturing operations. You will spend most of your time on your feet, working directly with parts, raw materials, and production kits. A unique aspect of this environment is the handling of frozen composite materials stored in a freezer at approximately -22 degrees Celsius, so you must be comfortable working in very cold conditions when accessing and managing these materials. The position involves managing new shipments, coordinating inbound and outbound material flows, and working closely with production and warehouse teams. Multiple shift options are available, including weekend shifts (such as 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and second shifts (for example, around 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), with flexibility for 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour schedules depending on business needs and candidate preference. The environment is fast-paced, safety-focused, and centered on accuracy, reliability, and collaboration.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middle River, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
