HIRING A ROBOT TECHNICIAN!!

12 Month- Ongoing Contract!

Work with one of the BEST OEM's! Job Description Commission, install, and support new Weld equipment at manufacturing facilities and machine vendor sites. The role involves robot teaching, programming, and troubleshooting, along with modifying PLC logic to support equipment commissioning and production readiness. Responsibilities

- Perform equipment inspections, testing, and validation to ensure machines meet standards and performance expectations.
- Support Body Engineering teams during model change activities and new equipment launches.
- Prepare, confirm, and validate new Body Weld equipment at vendor locations prior to installation.
- Support activities from equipment installation through start of production (SOP).
- Develop and implement equipment countermeasures during setup, trial runs, and production launches.
- Provide hands-on support for automated robotic welding and material handling systems.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities throughout North America and occasionally Japan to support project activities, training, and equipment launches.
- Maintain project documentation, equipment records, and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and vendor teams to resolve technical issues and optimize equipment performance.

Essential Skills

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial maintenance, automation, or production environment.
- Experience with industrial robots, including robot teaching, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to make logic modifications.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Experience commissioning, installing, or supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with automated robotic welding (spot weld and/or arc weld systems).
- Body Weld shop experience within automotive manufacturing.
- Experience with robotic material handling systems.
- Previous experience supporting equipment launches, model changes, or related activities.
- Automotive manufacturing experience, preferably within an OEM environment.

Travel to the USA is a MUST, You must have a valid Canadian Passport/ OR TN Visa
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Cambridge,ON.
