Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our manufacturing processes and custom fixtures and tooling. You will be responsible for reverse engineering and documenting equipment essential for production, supporting the manufacturing process with a hands-on approach, and creating engineering drawings using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. You will also transfer BOM data from CAD to the AS400, assist in maintaining documentation, complete tasks within required timeframes, and provide updates on project status and deliverables. Your work will ensure adherence to project scope and delivery expectations, contributing to both internal and external customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

- Understand and document manufacturing processes and custom fixtures.
- Reverse engineer and document equipment for production.
- Support manufacturing with hands-on engineering.
- Create engineering drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Transfer BOM data from CAD to AS400 and maintain documentation.
- Complete assigned tasks and designs within required timeframes.
- Provide updates on project status and deliverables as necessary.
- Ensure project scope and delivery meet customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills

- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ERP systems
- Strong communication and documentation skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with sheet metal design
- Project support experience

Work Environment This position is on-site, involving both office settings and the manufacturing floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
