Software Engineer - Hybrid

Mindex is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Product division. You'll design and build cloud-native applications on .NET and AWS, using AI-assisted engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle. You'll work closely with Product, Test Engineering, Support, and CloudOps to deliver reusable services and reliable infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented engineer eager to own solutions end-to-end and adopt modern AI-assisted workflows.

Compensation

$70,000 - $120,000

What You'll Accomplish

- Apply AI-assisted engineering practices (AI DLC) across the development lifecycle, sharing effective workflows and patterns with the team.
- Design and maintain APIs, background services, and reusable business logic using .NET and C#.
- Build customer-facing features, including UI, Blazor apps, and .NET MAUI mobile functionality.
- Develop cloud-native solutions and infrastructure as code on AWS, and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and investigate production issues to identify root causes.
- Apply security, privacy, and least-privilege principles across application and infrastructure work.
- Participate in technical design, estimation, code reviews, and incremental delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Test Engineering, Support, and CloudOps to resolve dependencies and deliver complete solutions.
- Document architecture and technical decisions to support long-term maintainability.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of software engineering experience developing and supporting production systems.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and structured practices such as the AI DLC, including evaluating AI-generated output against normal engineering standards.
- Experience developing applications and services using .NET, C#, Web API, ASP.NET MVC, and RESTful APIs, including reusable services and shared business logic.
- Experience building web and cross-platform applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Blazor, and .NET MAUI.
- Working knowledge of relational database design, SQL, and performance troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, IAM, and CloudWatch, and understanding of cloud architecture, security, and high availability.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Experience implementing observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and troubleshooting distributed applications and production issues.
- Experience with automated testing, source control, code review, and Agile delivery in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.

Licenses & Certifications:

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
