Mechanical Project Engineer

Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineering opening with an industrial equipment manufacturer that is located in Reading, PA. This person will be responsible for technical project management, product engineering and design of structural equipment. Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:

- Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems, components, and processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality)
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Monitor project progress and resolve technical or scheduling issues
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders regarding project status and requirements
- Support testing, validation, and commissioning of mechanical systems
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:

- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant engineering or project experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
